A Mac eye break reminder that is harder to dismiss
If you keep dismissing eye-break reminders, Have You Rested gives you another option: Pro can pause the break countdown whenever you look back at the screen. The free version still works as a normal 20-20-20 timer and includes blink and posture reminders.
Who it is for
- Developers, designers, writers, and students who spend long stretches at a Mac.
- People who regularly postpone breaks during long sessions.
- Mac users who want a break timer without cloud accounts or remote camera processing.
What the optional camera changes
A normal timer knows that a break started, not whether you took it. Optional camera verification pauses the countdown when you look back. Full Mode uses the same local detection to keep the display on while you look and turn it off when you turn away.
Privacy model
Detection runs locally using Apple Vision. No video is recorded, no screenshots are taken, and camera frames are processed in memory and discarded. The Mac app contacts have-you-rested.rolia.ee for license checks and optional Sparkle update checks.
Pricing
20-20-20 breaks plus blink and posture reminders are free. Pro has a 5-day trial with no card. It costs $29.99 lifetime for up to 2 Macs, $19.99 per year, or $2.99 per month.
